Cable[s] is an interactive costume designed to transform the body into a control panel for triggering effects, loops, and lights. Inspired by video games like Street Fighter and Tekken, as well as the music group Polyphia and the cyberpunk aesthetic of Cyberpunk 2077, Cable[s] turns users into performers, allowing them to create music through interaction and movement.
The goal of this project was to create an engaging and immersive interaction between people, using wearable technology to bridge the gap between physical movements and digital outputs. The challenge was to design a costume that could serve as an intuitive interface for both experienced gamers and casual users, allowing them to create sounds and visual effects in real-time through their body movements.
The solution was a wearable costume that integrated various sensors and light-emitting components, enabling the user to control sounds and lights by moving their arms, torso, or head. The suit itself was designed with cyberpunk influences, incorporating metallic elements and bold, angular lines.
